UPDATE – fundraising total for REORG Charity 2022

We met with Mark Ormrod and Sam from REORG Charity yesterday to present an updated cheque of £27,257.61 to them. Having thought our total was £22k, we actually had more coming in and a great donation from YGS Landscapes Ltd to bring our total well up.

Mark and Sam mentioned some of the great help that has already been channeled through to help veterans and blue light services get the help they need from our total raised.

Thank you for your attendance on the last ball to raise this amazing amount for a brilliant local charity.

Black Tie Ball in aid of REORG Charity 2022 – Roundup

After a very successful evening where we raised around £22,000 for REORG Charity we have so many thank yous to mention. Without help and support, the evening would not have happened and certainly would not have been the success it was.

Firstly the committee who spent the past year putting this together, Paul Montgomery, Agata Kalend-Łuszczyńska, Annette Laurie, Scott Grenney, Michael Mann and Lauren Rodgers with help from Mark Ormrod

  • Plymouth Gin for the arrival drinks.
  • PL7 Studios for taking everyone’s arrival photos.
  • Print Copy Scan for all of the printed literature on the tables and table plan.
  • Tamar View Fruiterers for all of the pineapples to help make the ReOrg logo 3D on every table.
  • Plymouth Fijian Community Choir for their angelic gospel voices, welcoming everyone to the ball on arrival.
  • Street Factory for the incredible military themed dance to start the nights entertainment in the ballroom.
  • Nightingale Music – Terrie-May McNulty for her outstanding singing the best choice of songs to chill to whilst eating our food.
  • Jessica and the Rabbits for filling the dancefloor all night long to their perfectly executed songs.
  • PL1 Events Limited for all the staging, lighting and sound, filling the whole ballroom with perfectly volumed sound and lighting effects as well as managing the big screen.
  • David Fitzgerald for hosting the auction to raise as much as possible for ReOrg
  • Crowne Plaza Plymouth for hosting the VIPs and catering for nearly 300 people with exceptional food for that many people.
  • Santander for working on the raffle all evening and fund-matching £2500 for the evening.

We had so many raffle and auction prizes that we would struggle to mention everyone. We hope that we covered all those who sponsored on the evening on all the literature however we wanted to mention three special people who worked extremely hard with many hours, preparing their prizes.

  • Emelie Hryhoruk, Contemporary Well-being Artist for her painting “Choose You”, the first in her brand new series “Revival” which fetched £3000. The painting is utterly beautiful and Emelie’s speech beforehand was truly inspiring.
  • Sergeant Ryan Donohue 29 Cdo Regt RA for his four framed unique military pieces which fetched £2420 for the charity.
  • Brian Pollard for his special painting bib which took years to create and must have been very hard to let go.

Lastly to all the businesses who turned up to fill the room and spend your hard-earned cash, especially considering the climate we’re living in at the moment.

All the money raised will go to help all those people who you heard about during Sam and Mark’s speech and help change people’s lives around for the better.

Testimonial from REORG Team

The Plymouth Business Charity Group demonstrated their incredible community spirit and generosity by organising a spectacular Charity Fundraising Ball at the Crowne Plaza, Plymouth, in support of REORG Charity. The event was a resounding success, raising an incredible £27,257.61.

Every penny of the funds raised went directly to support the REORG community, helping to transform the lives of 27 individuals through our REORG 60 and REORG 365 programs. These life-changing programs begin with REORG 60, a two-month programme introducing Jiu Jitsu as a new positive habit and progressing with REORG 365, a year-long journey that solidifies that habit into a sustainable, empowering lifestyle.

Thanks to the support of the Plymouth Business Charity Group, each of the 27 beneficiaries completed the full 14-month transformative programme. They now belong to a strong, supportive community and have found a renewed sense of purpose, belonging, and fulfilment through Jiu Jitsu. Their lives have been changed due to the generosity of the Plymouth Business Charity Group.

ReOrg are a National Charity, who have 155 Jiu Jitsu academies all across the country.
